Ooops...I've neglected to post for a while! The following is one of my favorites (actually, more recently I had seemed to forget I owned it...I need to dig it out and use it again!). This book has many activities for kids of various ages and targets skills such as labeling, stating functions, categorizations, synonyms/antonyms, attributes, and more! This is a great book by Gail Richard (currently a professor at Eastern Illinois University)...click on the link to order it from the LinguiSystems website!
http://www.linguisystems.com/itemdetail.php?id=892
The book comes with a cd that has activities/flash cards you can print out in color...lots more motivating than black and white copies!
Enjoy!

#6--Vocal Development.com
This awesome website was developed by Dr. David Ertmer, one of my professors during my graduate studies at Purdue University...I copied and pasted the following information from the website:
VocalDevelopment.com has been designed to share information about early speech development and to provide examples of the delightful speech sounds that children produce before they say words on a regular basis.
While you are here you can:
Learn about and listento vocalizations from different developmental levels
Check your listening skills
Learn about the research in vocal development
Learn about ways to stimulate Early Speech Development and Oral language
Check out the link below!

#5--DLTK Kids
I LOVE the DLTK Kids website!
There are TONS of great printable ideas and templates for some pretty easy and fun crafts that can be adapted for use in pretty much any therapeutic situation you can imagine (language expansion and development, phono/artic drills, etc.)
One of my personal favorites: Here is a link to their Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See? (by Bill Martin Jr./illustrated by Eric Carle) activities.
http://www.dltk-teach.com/books/brownbear/index.htm
ENJOY and good luck!

#4--The Stuttering Foundation
Whew, it was a LONG day at work today! I am worn out.
Anyway, here is today's tip! I haven't seen many kids who stutter, honestly...we don't get many of them (it seems like) where I work. However, last week I did do an evaluation on a little guy who is exhibiting mild stuttering. I spent a lot of time in my text books both from undergrad and grad school, and also time perusing The Stuttering Foundation's website. Check out the following helpful links!
If you think your child is stuttering... (I printed out the pdf file...it's a great brochure!...and gave it to the mom as a handout)

Does my child need speech therapy for stuttering?
Notes to Teachers pertaining to school-aged children who stutter in the classroom

#2--The Listening Room
The Listening Room is a great resource provided by Advanced Bionics.
The Listening Room is a steady stream of FREE activities and resources to support the development of speech, language and listening skills of children, adolescents and adult cochlear implant recipients. Check it out!
There are also links on the website to help you learn more about cochlear implants and more about the company, Advanced Bionics.
I am attending an Advanced Bionics conference next Friday, November 14th...so perhaps I will have more to share after the conference!

New idea...Day one!
I've had an idea for a while to compile a blog of SLP resources for both my own use (to remind me of things I find helpful and use or hope to use in the future!) and to share/exchange tips with fellow SLPs! My goal will be to post one tip/resource per day.
There's no time like the present! Here is day one....
I use Super Duper Publication's website a lot (but not as much as I should!) for their FREE handouts that are great to use with parents of kiddos....search for any topic known to man (or, at least, known to SLP's ;) )
Here's the link! http://www.superduperinc.com/Handouts/Handout.aspx
Enjoy!
